Adding Badges to Your Email Signature

Learn how to add your Navigatr digital badges to your email signature to share your achievements in Gmail and Microsoft Outlook.

You can add a Navigatr badge to your email signature to share your achievements with anyone you email. This guide walks you through getting the badge image and badge URL from your profile, then adding both to your signature in Gmail and Microsoft Outlook.


Get the badge image

  1. Open Navigatr and log in.

  2. Go to your profile and select the badges tab.

  3. Select the badge you'd like to include in your email signature.

  4. Click on the badge image to enlarge it, then right-click to see more options.

  5. Choose 'Save Image As' and save the image to your computer.

Tip: For a more shareable signature, download the badge via the Download dialog and choose the PNG option. This version includes Open Badge metadata so recipients can verify the badge directly from the image. See Open Badges Explained.


Get the badge URL

  1. From the same badge page, click the share button.

  2. Select 'Copy Link' to copy the badge URL to your clipboard.

Add to Gmail

  1. Go to settings and find the email signature section.

  2. Use the picture icon to upload the badge image and resize it.

  3. Highlight the image and click on the link icon.

  4. Paste the badge URL and save the signature.


Add to Microsoft Outlook

  1. Create a new email and click on the signature option.

  2. Edit an existing signature or add a new one.

  3. Select the image icon and choose the badge image.

  4. Add a hyperlink with the badge URL, then save.
