How to Use the Work Experience Badge Templates

Modified on Tue, 4 Nov at 10:18 AM

Navigatr's Work Experience Badge Templates provide a consistent, ready-to-use way to recognise everyone involved in a work placement – learners, careers leaders, and employers. Developed in collaboration with Leeds Learning Alliance and Workskills Kingston, these badges help you celebrate achievement while strengthening links between education and employment.

What Are the Work Experience Badge Templates?

There are three work experience role badges plus an induction badge, each designed to recognise a key part of delivering and supporting meaningful work experience:

  • Work Experience Induction (Coming Soon) – Recognises careers leaders and careers advisors who have completed induction training on setting up and managing work experience placements. It covers safeguarding, compliance, and the practical steps for supervising and supporting learners effectively.
  • Staff Work Experience Preparation Badge – Awarded to careers leaders and careers advisors responsible for Careers Information and Guidance (CIAG) who complete training and assessment to effectively support others through work experience. It acknowledges educators who prepare learners, provide guidance, and help them reflect on and evidence their experiences. This badge aligns with Gatsby Benchmark 6 on personalised careers guidance.
  • Work Experience Badge (Coming Soon) – Recognises learners who complete a work placement. It highlights their preparation, active participation, and reflection – as well as key employability skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and self‑management.
  • Work Experience Host Badge – Awarded to employers who host learners for work experience. It demonstrates a commitment to providing safe, inclusive, high‑quality placements and showcases support for developing young talent within the community.

Each badge comes with pre‑filled purpose, criteria, and skill tags, ensuring clarity and consistency across organisations. You can issue them as they are or customise them to reflect your local branding and language.
