Downloading Your Badge Certificate

Every Navigatr badge comes with a printable certificate. Here's how to download yours, complete with a QR code that verifies the badge.

Written by Support Desk

Each badge you earn on Navigatr automatically generates a printable certificate - no design or admin required.

You can download and print your verifiable certificate anytime, each one includes a unique QR code linking back to your verified badge on Navigatr.

What's on the certificate

Every certificate is generated as a PDF and contains:

  • The badge image.

  • The recipient's name.

  • The issuing provider's logo and brand colours.

  • The date the badge was issued.

  • A unique QR code that links back to the verified badge on Navigatr.

The certificate title changes depending on the badge type:

  • Certificate of Attendance: workshops and attendance-type badges.

  • Certificate of Membership: membership badges.

  • Certificate of Achievement: all other badge types.

Only the badge recipient can download the certificate. If you try to download a certificate for a badge you don't own, you'll see a "permission denied" error.

Certificates for imported badges

Certificates also work for badges you've imported into your Navigatr wallet from other platforms. Imported-badge certificates use a default Navigatr style and pull the issuer name from the badge's Open Badge metadata. If an issuer name isn't available, the certificate shows "External Issuer" instead.

The same recipient-only rule applies: only the person who imported the badge can download its certificate.
