If you use more than one email address, you can link them all to your Navigatr account. When you add a secondary email, we send a verification link to confirm you own it. Once verified, badges sent to that address appear on your single Navigatr profile.
Note: Adding an extra email is also how you import a badge that was issued to a different address. See Open Badges Explained for details on importing.
Add a new email to your Navigatr account
Visit navigatr.app and log in with your existing email and password.
Click your profile icon to open the profile menu.
Select 'Settings' from the menu options.
In the settings menu, under 'Account', click on Email & Communications.
Find the 'Emails' section.
Click on Add Email.
Type in the additional email address you want to link to your account.
Click Add to save the new email.
Check the inbox of the new address. You should have received a verification link. Click the link to confirm you own the email. Until you do, the address is shown as Unverified in your settings, and badges sent to it won't appear on your account.
Note: Verification links expire after 24 hours. If yours has expired, use Resend Verification (below) to request a fresh one.
Didn't receive the verification email?
Check your spam or junk folder first.
In Email & Communications, find the unverified secondary email in the list.
Click the three dots next to the address and select Resend Verification.
We'll send a fresh verification link. To avoid spamming your inbox, you can request one new link per minute.
(Optional) change which email you use to log in
Your primary email is the address you use to log in and the one where Navigatr sends notifications by default. You can swap which of your linked emails is the primary at any time, as long as the email you want to promote has been verified.
In the 'Emails' section, find the email you want to make primary.
Click on the three dots next to that email address and select Make Primary.
If the email you're promoting isn't already verified, you'll be sent a separate verification email. Open it and click the link to confirm. Until you verify it, the email cannot be made primary.
You can swap your primary back to a previous email at any time. Verified emails stay verified; you don't need to re-verify them.
Note: Badges issued to any of your verified secondary emails always appear on your single Navigatr profile. You don't need to make an email primary to receive badges sent to it.
Remove an email from your account
You can remove any secondary (non-primary) email from your account at any time. Your primary email cannot be deleted directly; to remove it, first promote a different verified email to primary, then delete the old address.
In the 'Emails' section, find the secondary email you want to remove.
Click the three dots next to the address and select Delete.
Confirm the deletion. Any badges issued to that address will stop appearing on your profile unless they are also linked to another verified email on your account.
