If your Navigatr licence expires, any badges, activities, and pathways created under your account will not be deleted. Recipients who have earned badges or completed activities will retain their achievements, even if your licence is not renewed.
What stays visible after expiry
When your subscription expires, your provider or community moves to a Suspended status. Here's what that means for your content:
Badges already earned remain on each recipient's profile and are still verifiable via their unique URL.
Your provider or community profile stays accessible to anyone with a direct link, but it's removed from the Discover page and search results on Navigatr.
Recipients keep their certificates and can still download Open Badges.
What admins see after expiry
When you log in after your subscription expires, you'll be redirected to your Subscription page, where you'll see a Buy Now or Renew option. You won't be able to manage badges, members, or other content until your subscription is reactivated, either by renewing online or by contacting our team.
Long-term data retention
Provider accounts that have been Cancelled or Expired for more than 30 days may be flagged for cleanup by the Navigatr team if all of the following apply:
No content has been published.
The account is not verified.
No admin has a work email address on file.
There are no invoices or payments on record.
To preserve your data, make sure at least one admin has a work email address, or contact [email protected] to keep your account on file.
Requesting data deletion
If your organisation wishes to delete all badge data, you can submit a formal request. Contact [email protected] to start a data deletion request, and our team will guide you through the necessary steps.
Tip: If you're unsure whether to renew or end your subscription, contact [email protected] and we'll talk through your options.
