Issuing Digital Badges to an Organisation

Issue a Navigatr badge to an organisation. Send to a generic mailbox, set the recipient type, and the organisation receives the badge to share.

You can issue badges to an organisation as well as to individuals.

Create your badge

If you don't have an organisation badge yet, create one first.

  1. Access Navigatr with your administrator account.

  2. From the dashboard, go to Content > Badges > NEW.

  3. Fill in the required information for your badge. Make sure you set the Recipient type to Organisations. For step-by-step guidance, see Creating a Badge.

  4. To edit an existing badge, open it and select Edit.

Important note: You cannot change the recipient type once you have already issued the badge to an individual.

Select the badge

  1. Find the badge you wish to issue and click Issue.

  2. This opens the Issue this badge dialog, which lists the available options vertically. Select Via Email at the top of the list.

Issue the badge

  1. In the pop-up form, enter the Organisation Name, as well as the First Name, Last Name, and Email Address of the individual who will receive the badge on the organisation's behalf. Alternatively, you can send it to a general company email, such as [email protected] or [email protected].

  2. Double-check these details for accuracy.

  3. When satisfied with the information, click Issue to send the badge.

  4. If the email address is not registered on Navigatr, they will receive an email to claim their badge.

Important note: Inform the recipient that they will receive an email from Navigatr with instructions to claim their badge. If they do not see it in their inbox, ask them to check their spam or junk folder.

How organisation badges appear in Navigatr

Organisation badges are issued to a person on the organisation's behalf. The badge record stores both the organisation name and the individual recipient's account, so the badge always has a real owner who can share and verify it.

Go to the Recipients tab in your Navigatr dashboard to see who has claimed their badge.

Once the badge is claimed:

  • The organisation name is shown alongside the recipient's name on the badge.

  • The issued badge sits in the recipient's Navigatr account, with the date of issue and claim status recorded.

  • If that person leaves the organisation, the badge stays with their account. It does not transfer to a colleague. To recognise a different person, issue the badge again to whoever now represents the organisation.
