Monitoring Your Pathway Participants' Progress

Track how learners progress through a Navigatr pathway. Use the Participants and Statistics tabs to see individual progress and overall completion rates.

Written by Support Desk

The Participants tab shows how learners are progressing through a pathway. From the pathway overview page, you can track overall engagement, review individual progress, and see completion across all included badges.

This article explains how to use both the Participants and Statistics tabs to monitor learner progress within a pathway.

Accessing the participants and statistics tabs

  1. From the left-hand menu, navigate to Pathways.

  2. Select the pathway you want to review.

  3. Use the Participants and Statistics tabs within the pathway overview.

Tracking individual participant progress

Below the summary, each participant is listed along with key details about their progress. For every learner, you can see:

  • Their name, which links to their profile

  • Their email address

  • Current progress through the pathway

  • Completion status

  • The date they started the pathway

  • A View Assertion button to view the badges they have earned

  • A Remove from Pathway button to remove them from the pathway, if necessary

  • An option to export data as CSV

  • An option to copy emails

This view shows who is on track and who may need extra support.

Filtering and finding participants

When a pathway has many participants, you can narrow the list down to find specific learners or focus on a particular group.

  • Search: Use the search box to find participants by name or email address. The list updates as you type.

  • Filter by status: Show only participants whose progress matches a specific state: In Progress, Completed, Expired, or Revoked.

  • Sort: Reorder the list by start date, name, or progress to surface the participants most relevant to your review.

Search, status, and sort can be combined, so you can (for example) sort completed participants by start date to see your most recent achievers.

Viewing completed and outstanding badges

Each participant’s progress is based on the badges that make up the pathway.

  • Select a participant from the list to view detailed badge progress by clicking the View Assertion button.

  • Completed badges are clearly shown.

  • Badges that are still outstanding are listed separately.

This makes it easy to understand where a learner is within the pathway and which badges remain.

Understanding the statistics tab

The Statistics tab offers an overview of pathway performance by presenting aggregated data for all participants.

From this tab, you can:

  • See the total number of participants enrolled

  • View how many participants have completed the pathway

  • Check how many participants are currently in progress

  • Review the overall completion rate

  • Track how many learners are actively following the pathway

  • See the total number of badges and steps included

This tab is a valuable tool for evaluating overall pathway effectiveness and identifying trends in learner progress.

Surveys card

If your pathway has surveys enabled, an extra Surveys card appears alongside the other statistics. It summarises how participants are engaging with each survey sent during the pathway.

The Surveys card shows:

  • Total: The number of surveys sent to participants.

  • Started: The number of surveys participants have opened and begun answering.

  • Submitted: The number of surveys participants have completed and submitted.

  • Submission rate: The percentage of sent surveys that have been submitted.

Hover over each metric to see a breakdown by survey type (Baseline, Completion, and Follow-Up), which makes it easy to spot whether participants are dropping off at a particular stage.

Surveys are a premium feature. For an overview of how surveys work, see Measuring impact with surveys.

Using progress data to improve your pathway

By combining insights from the Participants and Statistics tabs, you can:

  • Monitor learner engagement

  • Make informed decisions about pathway improvements

  • Identify badges that may be causing delays or drop-off

Regularly reviewing this data helps ensure your pathway continues to support learners effectively.
