Your Navigatr subscription runs for 12 months and renews automatically at the end of each term, as long as your billing details are complete. In most cases there is nothing you need to do. This article explains how automatic renewal works, how to renew manually if you ever need to, and how to cancel if you no longer want to continue. For a tour of the Subscription page, see Managing Your Subscription.
How automatic renewal works
As your renewal date approaches (you can see it on the Usage tab of the Subscription page), Navigatr checks your billing details. If your billing name, email address, postal address, and phone number are all on file, your subscription renews automatically onto a new 12-month term, we send a new invoice to your billing email, and you stay on the same plan with no interruption.
Your plan, currency, add-ons, billing details, and seat limits all carry over automatically, so there is nothing to re-buy or re-enter. If you want to change any of them, do that before you renew so the changes are reflected in the new term.
If any of those billing details are missing, the subscription is not renewed. It expires at the end of the term and your provider or community is suspended until you renew, so keeping your billing details complete is the best way to avoid a gap. For what happens to your badges, pathways, and activities if a subscription lapses, see What Happens to My Data if I Don’t Renew?.
The same rule applies at the end of a free trial. With complete billing details your trial becomes a paid subscription automatically; without them it expires.
Tip: Review your billing details well before your renewal date. See Adding Your Billing Information to check or update them.
Renewing manually
You only need to renew manually in two situations: if your subscription has expired (for example, because your billing details were incomplete), or if you want to renew early.
If your subscription has expired, open the Subscription page from your provider or community admin. On the Usage tab you will see a card titled “Your subscription ended” with a Buy Now button. Click it and confirm to start a new term. This also restores your suspended provider or community.
To renew before your term ends, email [email protected] with your organisation name and the renewal date you would like. We will process it as long as you are inside the 30-day window before your renewal date. Earlier renewals are reviewed case by case.
Important note: Your billing details must be complete before you can renew. If any required billing fields are missing, you will be asked to fill them in first.
Cancelling your subscription
If you no longer want to continue, you can cancel your subscription so that it does not renew. You keep full access until the end of your current term, and you are not billed for a new one.
If you change your mind, you can reactivate any time before the term ends. For the full steps, see Cancellation and Reactivation.
Providers funded by a community
If your provider is funded by a community, you do not renew your own subscription. Your renewal date follows the funding community’s renewal date, and the community admin handles the renewal. You will stay on the same Funded by Community plan when the community renews.
If you are unsure who funds your provider, check the Subscription page. A Funded by Community plan shows the funding community in your plan card.
