Understanding Activities on Navigatr

Understand what an activity is on Navigatr: what an activity page shows, how to take part and earn a badge, and where to find activities.

Written by Support Desk

On Navigatr, an activity is a session run by an organisation, such as a workshop, course, talk, or event. You can take part in an activity in person or online, and you earn its badge by attending.

What is in an activity

Each activity page tells you what to expect:

  • Its name and type, such as a workshop, course, or event.

  • A description of what it covers.

  • When and where it takes place, and whether it is in person, online, or both.

  • The badge you will earn by taking part.

How you take part

Once you have found an activity you want to attend, click Attend. If it uses a booking system, you may be prompted to book a ticket.

If the activity is in person, go to the venue at the scheduled time. A member of staff may scan your personal QR code to check you in, which issues any linked badge automatically. If the activity is online, follow the link provided to attend. For more, see Registering for an Activity.

An activity that has ended or been cancelled can no longer be joined. If you had already registered, you will be told about any cancellation.

Tip: Read the activity page thoroughly before you attend; it may include extra instructions on how to take part or earn the badge.

Where your activities live

Every activity you've registered for or attended appears on your profile under the Activities tab. From there you can click on each activity to view its details, share it, and attend it.

Tip: Got a question about an activity? Email [email protected].
