This update is about the people you work with. You can now bring your members together in one place, invite them straight onto a pathway, and hand out badges with a new claim form.
Key features
Members and groups
Managing the people in your organisation just got easier. You can add members one at a time or upload a list in bulk from a CSV file, then organise them into groups that suit how you work, whether that is a cohort, a class, or a department.
Filter the members list by group to find people quickly, and open any member to see their details at a glance.
How to access: open Members from your admin dashboard. Add people with Add Member, and use Groups to create and manage groups. For more, see Managing Your Members.
Pathway invitations
You no longer have to wait for learners to find a pathway. Published pathways now have an Invite button in the admin toolbar, so you can invite members directly.
Select the members you want and invite them together. They each get an email to let them know.
How to access: open a published pathway and click Invite, or select members on the Members page and choose Invite to Pathway. For more on pathways, see Creating and Managing a Pathway.
Badge claim forms
There is a new way to give out a badge. From the issue dialog you can create a claim form for any badge. We build the form for you, powered by Tally, and give you a link to share.
When someone fills in the form, the badge is issued to them automatically. It is a simple way to collect the details you need and recognise people without issuing each badge by hand.
How to access: open the issue dialog for a badge and choose Create claim form. For other ways to issue automatically, see Automate Badge Issuing with a Form or Quiz.
Changes
Individuals can now join a community or provider directly. Community and provider pages have a new Join button, with a clear note about what data is shared when you join.
Badges can now show an alignment framework and code, so you can link a badge to the standard it maps to.
The sign-in and registration pages have a refreshed look.
Bug fixes
On phones, the members toolbar no longer crowds the icon-only buttons.
Removing a badge from your profile now takes you back to your Badges tab.
What this means for you
Learners: You can join a community or provider directly from its page, and you may be invited straight onto a pathway by email. If someone shares a badge claim form with you, filling it in earns you the badge automatically.
Providers: Manage your members in one place. Add them individually or in bulk, organise them into groups, invite them to pathways, and issue badges with a claim form. Community admins have the same tools across their providers.
