October 2026 Update: The Right Access for Everyone

Read-only analyst access, qualification details on badges, and outcomes for every participant, plus analytics, badge and survey improvements.

Written by Support Desk

This update is about getting the right information to the right people. You can now give someone a read-only view of your figures, your badges can carry the details of a formal qualification, and you can record what happened to every participant on a pathway, not only the ones who answered a survey. Below is what's new, from those three changes to six weeks of smaller improvements across analytics, badges and surveys.

Key features

Analysts: a read-only seat at the table

The Invite Provider Analyst dialog, with an email address field and Provider Analyst selected under Permissions: read-only statistics for this provider, with no admin access and no personal data.

Some people need to see how your programme is doing without being able to change it: a funder, a board member, a partner reporting on shared outcomes. Until now, the only way to show them was to make them an administrator.

You can now invite them as an analyst instead. A Community Analyst sees your community's figures, and a Provider Analyst sees one provider's. They get the Analytics page and read-only lists of your badges, pathways and activities, each with its own statistics. They cannot edit anything, and they never see personal data: figures for groups of fewer than five people are hidden to protect them.

Analysts do not use an admin seat, so you can invite one even when all your seats are taken. You can resend an invitation, withdraw it, or remove an analyst's access at any time.

How to access: go to Admins, select Invite, and choose Community Analyst or Provider Analyst. See Receiving Admin Invitations for what the person you invite will see.

Qualification details on your badges

The Qualification card in the badge editor, filled in for a Level 3 Diploma on the RQF framework: qualification number 601/4783/0 beside a Look up button, a Pass grade, Mathematics and statistics as the field of study, and a credit value of 10.

If a badge recognises a formal qualification, it can now say so properly. The badge editor has a new Qualification card where you can add the qualification type, the framework and level, the qualification number, a grade, and a credit value.

For a regulated qualification, enter its number and select Look up. We fill in the level, the credits and the field of study from Ofqual's register for you, and ask before replacing anything you have already entered. You can also choose a Field of Study on any badge.

When you issue the badge, you can record the grade and the credits each person earned. All of this shows on the badge page. The level, grade and credits also appear on the certificate, and the subtitle on the badge image fills in from them. The AI badge assistant can now fill in these fields from your description too.

Every field is optional. A badge without them looks exactly as it did before.

How to access: open a badge in the badge editor and scroll to the Qualification card.

Record outcomes for every participant

The Record outcome dialog for a participant at the Baseline stage, with Employment status set to Employed full time permanent, a Status as at date and a confirmation checkbox.

Pathway surveys tell you whether people found work, gained a qualification or went on to further education. But not everyone answers, and often you already know the answer from your own follow-up.

You can now record that outcome yourself. The Surveys tab on a pathway has a new Outcome column showing each participant's outcome at Baseline, Completion and Follow-up. Filter to the ones still missing, then select Record outcome, or View / correct to change one you have already entered. Every change is kept in a history. Beside the Outcome column, a new Progress column shows how far each participant has got through the pathway.

The learner always has the final word. They can see the outcomes you have recorded for them on their pathway, and if they go on to answer the survey themselves, their answer replaces yours. Your statistics show how many outcomes came from learners and how many from admins.

How to access: open a pathway, go to the Surveys tab and use the Outcome column. See Measuring Impact with Surveys.

Changes

Analytics

  • Every chart on the Analytics page can now switch to a table showing the numbers behind it, with Copy table and Download CSV on each card.

  • Survey results now sit together in one Surveys tab, with Trends for the charts and Question tables for the answers to each question.

  • Statistics and Analytics now show learner satisfaction with the training, the overall support and the employability support, and whether a condition affects people's day-to-day activities, beside disability status.

  • The location and career cards now show a summary across your learners.

  • Demographic groups of fewer than five people are now hidden throughout your statistics, so no one can be identified from a small group.

Badges

  • If you remove a badge you have claimed from your profile, you can now bring it back. Select Undo straight away, or find it under Recently removed on your profile until the date shown.

  • Issuers can now switch certificates off for an individual badge.

  • Evidence attached to a badge now shows its full description, including evidence brought in from a digital wallet.

  • The email people receive when a badge is issued now links straight to that badge.

  • QA locked now appears in the Badge settings dialog, for the people who approve your badges.

Surveys

  • The automatic follow-up survey is now sent six months after someone completes a pathway, instead of 12 weeks. See Measuring Impact with Surveys.

  • Participants who have left a pathway show as Left pathway on the Surveys tab, and no longer receive survey invitations or reminders.

Plans and sign-up

  • The Professional plan is now called Pro, and there is a new Guided plan for larger teams, with up to 10 administrators. Pro subscribers can upgrade to it from the Subscription page (see Managing Your Subscription).

  • Providers signing up now see and agree to our Supply of Services terms.

  • New providers and communities may see a welcome card on their Summary page with the next steps for getting set up.

Bug fixes

  • Verifying a badge is more reliable, and no longer reports a badge as deleted when the issuer's site is temporarily blocking automated checks.

  • Automatic badge issuing no longer stops when a badge has a recipient who has only an email address.

  • The activity check-in scanner now says "Badge can't be issued" when the activity's badge is not published, instead of "Not a match".

  • Pressing Enter in a dialog no longer presses its main button when you are on a different button, link or checkbox.

  • Select all and filters in bulk actions now act only on the rows you can see.

  • The certificate option no longer appears on a badge that has not been claimed.

API and integrations

  • Rate limits are now enforced (see Issuing Badges with Navigatr API). Public requests are limited to 5 every 2 seconds, Advanced API requests to 300 every 2 seconds, and AI requests to 10 a minute. A request over the limit returns 429, so retry after a short wait.

  • Badge claim links have a new format: they now use a ?t= token, and badge assertions return a ready-made claim_url. Use that rather than building the link yourself.

What this means for you

  • Learners: If a badge you hold is a qualification, you may now see its level, grade and credits on the badge page and certificate. You can restore a claimed badge you removed. On a pathway, you can see any outcome your provider has recorded for you, and answering the survey yourself always takes its place.

  • Providers: You can invite Provider Analysts without using a seat, add qualification details to your badges, switch certificates off for a badge, and record outcomes for participants on your pathways. Follow-up surveys now go out at six months.

  • Community admins: You can invite Community Analysts, and Provider Analysts for providers in your community. Your statistics now include satisfaction and stronger small-group protection, and every chart can be copied or downloaded as a table.

  • API users: Rate limits are now enforced and claim links have a new format. Please read the API and integrations section above before your next release.
